Commons comprises:

  • 33 one bedroom units
  • 10 units set aside for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness
  • 7 units set aside for youth aging out of the foster care system who are at risk of homelessness
  • 17 PSH for incomes of up to 50% AMI with on-site case management
  • 16 mix for incomes between 50% and 80% AMI

Barbara Geller, the project’s namesake, was a committed and unwavering advocate for assisting Connecticut homeless residents with housing needs and services. She was one of the original leaders of the movement to establish supportive housing as the solution for chronic homelessness (and other forms of housing instability) in Connecticut.
